New for 2024 Britains John Deere 4240 2wd Heritage Tractor.
The John Deere 4240 tractor was introduced for 1978 as part of “The Iron Horses” line of tractors. These tractors had more powerful engines, greatly increased drawbar pull, and 3-point hitch lift capacity. The 4240 was powered by a naturally aspirated 466 cubic-inch engine giving it 111 PTO horsepower. This was an increase of over 10 horsepower from the 4230 model it replaced.
